Awards
(1) Grand Prize Winner
One overall Grand Prize Winner will be selected. A scholarship check will be awarded to the winner in the amount of $5,000.00. The student will also receive $1,000 to put their idea/project into action. The Grand Prize Winner’s high school will receive 3 computers and monitors.
(2) Honorable Mention
Two students will be selected as Honorable mention and receive a PNY prize package valued at $500.00.
All winners are required to fill out an:
Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release Form
All federal, state, and local taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility
of the winners.
Release
By claiming a prize, the winner authorizes the use, without additional compensation of his or her name and/or likeness and/or voice and/or photograph and municipality of residence for promotion and/or advertising purposes in any manner and in any medium (including, without limitation, radio broadcasts, newspapers and other publications, television or film releases, slides, videotape, distribution over the internet and picture data storage), which PNY may deem appropriate.
Reservation of Rights
PNY reserves the right to cancel, postpone or end the Contest at any time, in its sole discretion, or to disqualify any team or winner that PNY, in its sole discretion, deems to have cheated, destroyed, obstructed, or otherwise acted illegally or in bad faith in relation to this Contest.
Governing Law
All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the official rules, or rights of entrants, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict of law principles.
